Founded by Lexi Brewster in 2010, The Care Necessities is passionate about families, education, and fun.

Lexi Brewster qualified as a nursery nurse following the completion of her degree in Sociology at the University of Aberdeen. Lexi has over 15 years of experience of working in childcare, which include both school and nursery settings. As well as having her own two children, Lexi has hands-on experience of being a nanny and babysitter to many of The Care Necessities families.

Jenny Viro is our assistant manager and previously worked as a nanny for The Care Necessities whilst studying a History degree at the University of Edinburgh. Prior to this, Jenny moved to the UK from Finland and worked as an Au Pair for 2 years in England.

The Care Necessities has never let me down , they have managed  on numerous occasions to provide childcare at short notice .  We have been sent excellent nannies who have coped with the children’s hectic schedules.

Efficient, friendly and professional. All the sitters I have had have been great with the kids and looked after them brilliantly. I would highly recommend them.

Our nanny is absolutely brilliant – exactly what we needed and a perfect match for our family.

For over two years our family has used The Care Necessities for our babysitting needs. The staff are always of exceptional quality: professional, safe, caring and full of good fun. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality childcare in the Edinburgh area!

A Nimmo

We’ve been using The Care Necessities for a number of years now and I have to say their service had been consistently flawless. I really get the feeling that they work incredibly hard to fulfil the customer’s needs. They are my ‘go to’ organisation if I need routine childcare.

E Geddes

Thank you for finding me a suitable childminder. This has taken a great weight off my mind for the forthcoming months.

The children always have fun with their carer and I have total confidence that they are always commanding of the childrens’ respect.
